Our free Wi-Fi let's you check your email, read the latest news and post on social media.  But if you want to watch a movie or your favourite TV show, we recommend you download it before you leave home.

Free Wi-Fi is available on all Interislander ferries and in our Picton and Kaiwharawhara terminals.

Delivering stable, high-speed internet for the duration of your Cook Strait crossing is challenging but our mix of mobile data and satellite services ensures better coverage.

Please note that Wi-Fi signal strength can be affected by weather, user volumes, and distance from land-based cell towers.  Mobile phone service may also be intermittent during the journey.

How to access Wi-Fi
  1. Go to Wi-Fi options in your device settings.
  2. Select the 'Passenger' network.
  3. When the Interislander Wi-Fi page appears on your browser, select the 'Agree' button to agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. Enjoy the Wi-Fi.
