A purposely-peaceful environment
Families are well-catered for on all Interislander ferries, with restaurants and viewing areas where kids can be kids. However, we know that some travellers prefer a tranquil travel environment. That’s why our Premium Lounge experience is available only to people aged 18 and over.
A grazing table that keeps on giving
While you’re travelling between islands, you can relax and enjoy a selection of seasonal dishes to graze on. Whether you feel like a few snacks while you enjoy the cruise or want to try a bit of everything to build a full plate, it’s included in your lounge ticket. We have options for everyone - vegetarian, plant-based and gluten-free choices are always available
Premium wines and craft beer
Your entry to Premium Lounge lets you choose from a selection of award-winning New Zealand wines and craft beers. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available. Supporting local producers is important to us, so many of our Premium Lounge drinks come from Marlborough, Wairarapa and Wellington.
WiFi and charging points
Many of our Premium Lounge customers like to take care of business while they’re crossing Cook Strait. To make this easier, we provide free WiFi (up to 500MB) and charging points are available in the lounge.
Benefits for Nautical Miles and NZMCA members
Premium Lounge privileges are available to Nautical Miles and New Zealand Motor Caravan Association members. If you belong to one of these groups, remember to enter your membership name and number at the time of booking, then show your membership card or voucher when you enter the Premium Lounge.
How to book your place in Premium Lounge
You can add Premium Lounge access to any Kaitaki, Kaiarahi or Aratere booking - even if you’ve chosen a Saver fare. Simply select the Premium Lounge option from the extras list in our online booking system or ask your booking agent to include it for you.
